I got a total of 6 items, missing longshot and mirror shield.

Couldn't join cuz I had no internet, so I just went through with my original plans of going to the mall.

This should be more than once a month; there's too long a wait between them. Especially when you consider Saturdays are bad for people most of the time. Sunday biweekly would be nice.

What was the challenge? Can't tell...

Lex, goal was to get each dungeon's main item (slingshot, bomb bag, boomerang, bow, hamer, longshot, hover boots, miror shield). And then end by the sign outside your house.

I placed 5th...and I think I'm the only one that had to start over? LOL fail on route planning.

-Game is essentially screwed, can't get bombs, can't get bow, can't get hover boots, could beat FT and get 10 skulltulas and buy broken knife but still don't have enough to get back through DoT.
-fuck that shit, I restart.

Most of my fail was from route planning, I actually had some pro superslides and crap but my stream got eaten twice so I probably don't have the recording.  :'(

I dont quite remember what place I held (think it was 8th), but yeah. Fun as hell, but fair warning: if you have no fucking idea what you're doing (like me from JJB on.), I wouldn't participate expecting anything D:

Yup. It was fun though, had a good time :D

Yeah, these are way too much fun to only have once a month.

My concern is we won't get good turnouts if it's more often than once a month

and keeping up the fresh ideas might be harder too

But putting it on Sunday seems pretty legit, would it work better for more people on sunday? Or keep it on saturday?

What date would work best in December for you guys?

edit: @cosmo- What do you mean by turnouts? We'd get a different batch of people every time, plus interest would rise because it'd be a bigger deal. The same person doesn't always have to host it, plus there are infinite possibilities. I can think of ten good ones off the top of my head.

Was a lot of fun failing miserably everywhere. My Fire Temple and Water temple are especially failtastic. Here's the route which is basically just a slightly altered MST SS route.

I go to store a ground jump in SFM and trigger the Navi text(god im awful)
I fall down trying to sidehop across like a retard and get owned by moblins a bunch
Finally make it into Forest Temple
Goes pretty good up to bow, I grabbed a fairy to play it safe in the first stalfos room. It paid off because I DIED against the 2 stalfos.
Death warped out then headed back to GC
Up death mountain and then proceed to die and waste another fairy that I had saved for Fire temple
I make it into the Fire Temple with 2 seconds to spare on the timer.
The Fire Temple is just 1 fail after another and a bunch of close calls with the heat timer.
Finally get Hammer and death warp to entrance and then savewarp to ToT.
Mess up like 4 superslides to Hylia and when I finally get one I'm already at the fence and I wait like an idiot.
Takes me like 10 minutes to get into the Water Temple to realize I have no fish/bug to bottle dive.
So I exit and run to the field and grab a fish, then back to the Water Temple.
I waste a ton of time trying to get the first small key in the temple and finally just hover down to it.
Get Longshot then death warp to entrance.
Head to Gerudo Valley and try to superslide across while the people in the chat are yelling at me that I have the fucking longshot.
Waste a good amount of time trying to gate skip but I finally got it.
Made it to Spirit.
Spend another good deal of time trying to block skip.
I fucking die killing the Anubis because I only had one heart when I jumped into the void(lol idiot again).
FINALLY I get the mirror shield and somehow claim first place because I didn't really make any route mistakes, just horrible execution.

Deathwarp to entrance, hover to ledge, raise water to the highest level
Get to Dark Link room, get wrecked by him
Search Youtube for ways to beat Dark Link that aren't Din's Fire
Find mzxrules' NL glitch, kill Dark Link with this absurd glitch (NL was useful again!)

This was really fun.  The Spirit Temple ruined me (along with the Guays) and my route wasn't great.  I definitely should've gone with some RBA stuff since it's what I know how to do already, and Mirror Shield as child sounds 100x better since I was already there with a Slingshot and Chus.  It sucked that everybody started quitting, though.

The only reason I quit was because I hadn't slept in 3 days, and my eyes were shot so I couldn't see shit in the desert. the booze didn't help.  Siglemec has motivation. I couldn't play zelda for 7 hours straight! I played for 4 hours.

Here's something that I thought of that made me quit:

An average MST SS takes 3:30-3:45. that's with beating every dungeon, long ass cutscenes and shit. I was at 4:18 when I quit. the fuck?

yeah but MST SS allows for practice. Impromptu does not; you have to improvise as you go.

To those discouraged by the length, it won't usually be this long. It was only this huge because it was OoT's birthday.

On topic: Im participating in the next one for sure, please make it in two weeks or something :)

As we've already decided, we are only doing these once a month. This boosts attendence and will not exhaust ideas as quickly.

how can ideas possibly be an issue?

I can come up with a list of over 100 possible challenges.

And... what does having this more regularly have to do with attendance?
