This new run shall be compared with Atma's WIP. Recent chat in #zelda has lead me to believe that Greenalink and Tompa would be interested in this TAS, helping or otherwise.

The main reason I bring this up is because of winter break coming up, and a lot of people are off for a couple of weeks, great for getting things done together.

Also, Atma says he may start with his WIP again next year. I don't know how much truth is in his statement, but it somewhat gives us a deadline.

Well, I was confused about Greenalink's interest, so that might not really be too valid :P. And I believe he has a lot of stuff to do anyway.
So do I, but I would like to give a hand in the project at least. My WIP began promising at least.

Greenalink has a few speedruns up for IL's in MC, so he may be more interested that we think, still, a word from him himself would be nice.

Like I said previously, I would love to work together on this. I have found a few strategies and techniques that are subtle, and tas-only, but add up in the long run.

I haven't been on ZeldaSpeedruns IRC yet so it seems like I'm IRC raped. ???

That reminds me:
The Temple of Droplets, test to see if the first key you find in the left half of the first set of rooms is faster than the dive underwater puzzle for the green lily pad. MrGrunz said this on my Youtube video nearly a year ago. I haven't properly timed the difference between them yet.

Dark Hyrule Castle:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX-kBzbFCAY
Need to look up on the fastest possible combinations keys by either using
*The colour tiles puzzle -> 4 Link guidance puzzle (1:40)
*The Ocarina glitch for a early key (2:52)
* Another Ocarina glitch for another early lkey & getting to the Red Warp Panel room by going through doors. (3:54)
* Keying a key from a Red Darknut route the intended way (6:36)
It could be faster if we replaced the colour tiles puzzle with a different darknut route, although the other 2 routes had keys collected early that were intended to be blocked by Darknuts. So there is only 1 more path left that leads to a key OR replace the Red Darknut with a Key that you can find before the Darknuts section.

Haven't really reached far enough to start caring about Dark Hyrule Castle, but thanks a lot! I'm too unexperienced with this game to know best tactics, routes, tricks etc. So any help of that kind would be nice.

Would be nice to see you in IRC at least if you dare to show up :). I'm at least going to do this run with Blizz, not sure how much time I have to focus on the project though... But we'll see.

Tompa and I are on way different leagues when it comes to TASing skill... It seems that what I think is optimal he can find frames to save somehow.

Let's bump this stuff!
I've started TASing the game now, here's a WIP for those who cares
