Puzzle/Challenge on Easter Sunday

i've got a puzzle that i'd like to run this sunday. natalyahasdied gave me a few ideas and helped with it, and it looks like it could be pretty fun. should be shorter and less difficult than a lot of the recent puzzles, but i think people will have fun with it.

i'm thinking of starting around 2 or 3 pm pacific time, which is 5 or 6 pm eastern time. who's interested?

alright looks like at least a few people will join. this will be run on SRL if that wasn't obvious.

i'm gonna have to start it at 6pm eastern. (sorry to the european players. i know that's a terrible time for you guys.) i'll be out for the morning and won't be back much earlier than that. hopefully some people can still join, and if this is a bad time for you feel free to run the puzzle yourself later.

as far as estimated time, i ran it today and it took me just under 2 hours (U version). but since i knew the goal and planned a route beforehand, it may take closer to 3 hours (or more) for most players.

The egg to Saria and the chicken to Malon are fairly obvious. What is the method for getting cojiro so that you can show Ruto?

I think what you do is just get the Odd Mushroom and save/quit to revert it back to Cojiro.

That part is pretty simple, but isn't the item blacked out from equipping?

You need to RBA green potion with, say, bugs for example, then have a bottle of bugs on c-right (any bottle) so the mushroom will overwrite the bugs in the inventory and check your c buttons for value 29 and write it there as well. It's the exact same as getting Spooky Mask on c right wit ass chest.

Yea, if you put an item (I think it works with any item except "blank", though you only can use bottle items) on a trade item slot then collect a trade item of the same slot, the game will check the C-Items for the item that was in the slot and overwrite it with the new item, since the devs assumed that only trade items would be placed in that slot and it was easier to do it that way rather than hardcode it.
