100% OoT and MM Race

For those who don't know yet, Kaztalek and I are gonna have an insane race where we play both 100% OoT and MM. The interesting thing about this is that we both have the records for SS/RTA (whatever, one sitting) in our main game, but are pretty bad at the other game. Both 100% categories for each game are similar in time as well, meaning that even though it is going to be a marathon of a race, it could be a close battle to the very end. Kaztalek has played through the OoT 100% once, and tomorrow I will finish the last cycle of 100% MM.

Other people can enter if they want, or just watch at various times throughout the day. We haven't worked out all the details yet, but it's likely going to be next week some time.

Get pumped.

i would totally join except idk shit about oot

good luck men

talking about ban evasion

as far as I'm concerned, stealing jiano's password is the equivalent of burning all possible bridges with this community

Prediction: you both .quit about eight hours in.

you should make a vid advertising this a few days before it starts, linking people to srl's streams page so they can watch us side by side

also for the sake of viewing it may be better if we start with the same game, that way they don't have to divert their attention between how the game is supposed to be played in 2 different games then later only see us flailing around excessively, but there are disadvantages to starting with the same game too, so im not sure

edit: proposed date (subject to change) is Sunday, July 10th at 10 am

Like... At the same time or back to back?

Back to back

From talking with Kaztalek it seems like we both want to do MM first, so that is likely what will happen. I think it's better for the viewers to see without too much effort who is currently ahead and if we do different games first then no one ever knows until the very end.

official time is monday july 11 2011 10 am est

Tomorrow this race goes down. I am hyped.

This has been quite epic so far.

Awesome, awesome race. I had to go to sleep 2 hours before the end because it was 4am D: I enjoyed it hugely though, thanks.

The race was a success

Runnerguy finished in first with 14:59:14, took 8:15 for MM and 6:42 for OoT
I came in second with 15:42:45, took 6:30:54 for MM (new world record) and 9:12 for OoT

Less than an hour in it - quite something.

This was pretty awesome.  If this is ever done again I might learn 100% mm and join
