so im new here, not new to Glitching, i can sub 1:30 in any%, idno if thats actually and acheivement or not, but whatever, i decided that i may aswell join this place make myself actually a legit runner right?

so i was trying out some shit with picking up the mastersword for the first time and then rocking up as an adult with bottle on B... so stealing rod+DoT skip with a deku stick on B is easy enough (took a while to find the angle correctly) and im trying to catch a fish and pickup the sword, (coz theres that 1 frame where u can do shit)
now, if you drop a fish infront of the MS then you cant pick it up while youre in range of the fish, this way to fishy (pun intended) for my liking, why did Nintendo make it so u cant grad the sword when there was a fish in the way? so idno... there are sometimes when you can actually catch the fish + grab sword but i cant get the position consistent enough so that i can test a whole bunch of different methods for pause buffering + grabbing the sword... idno, any1 else got any ideas?

included pic with the deku stick lineup ofr DoT skip, incase you wanted :D

That's strange how you cant pick up the master sword with a fish in the way.  Also nice job doing deku stick DoT skip.

And yes, sub 1:30 is definitely a good time for a beginner, so good job with that too!

i like how the vid is almost 3 years old.

i guess they made just 1 model for all of them and the gerudo face is for the nabooru fight.

Okay, figured out a setup for fire temple mega sidehop bk skip with a chu:
1. Get into the corner
2. Angle yourself the same as if for the superslide method (like DoT skip)
3. Roll twice
4. Sidehop
5. Backflip
6. Let go of L, then press it again (prevents from any wierd side rolling)
7. Roll once
8. Pull out the chu and do mega sidehop (to the right)
9. Hold Right
10. When the cage room is in the middle of your screen jumpslash and hold forward
Notes: Hoverboots make this a bit easier. The angle is incredibly precise.

I can make a vid of this, if anyone needs it.

Here's a good angle alignment for the backflip Mido skip. Align with the wall and get against Mido, then put the left side of the B button in the center of the third dark tree gap from the right of the concrete thing as shown. It gets me over Mido about 95% of the time and the B button doesn't have to be perfectly centered in the gap, it's pretty forgiving.

I was meesing around in Master Quest's fire temple and I discovered that you can jumpslash through the firewall of the right side of the big room (the one with lava on the floor, the long broken bridge and moving platforms).
I'll try to take a video of it wednesday.

I found a new method of infinite skulltulas today by dying while hookshotting a token, but for some reason, 90% of the time this happens.  I'm not sure how to guarantee the game over screen appearing, but if it does, you'll be able to get the GS again.

since tsa has "confirmed" normal gate skip to be out (via invisible walls supposedly) in oot3ds, we were talking about the idea of using the 0 gravity trick (used to get into gtg) to unload the gate and walk right through. nobody was testing it, and so i decided to load up an emulator real quick and test it. it does work, although i used l to levitate to get there/unload the fortress because i was lazy and on my keyboard. i might make a good video sometime soon if i can get cucco jump, but it might be better for someone else to because i will be using camera footage (my easycap broke, and i wont be getting a dazzle until july)

New cutscene skip?

#386
So I was playing around in OoT, and found this. Boss fight of Forest Temple, Phantom Ganon. Sorry about bad quality and no sound.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doLsnEeYZxk

I'm really hoping I'm the first to find this, I haven't seen or heard of it anywhere.

How to:
When you enter the boss room (glitch or not) hold Z. Then side hop up the stairs, roll through the diagonal and side hop to the center. Side hop back to close gate, and taa-daa! Gate should close, and fight should begin.

This happens if you die to PG once and come back.  Sorry, its not a new trick.

Also, next time please post a new trick in the glitch/trick discovery thread rather than make a new one.

Edit: merged

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know. Delete the thread? It's not that big of an issue if you do.
