Noob moments that made you want to cry

A comment on my JJB Any% IL video:

"you were punching the boss with your bare hands, didnt know you could do that in zelda, and the fact that it does more than a sword is beyond me..."

Just like 10 years ago how we said Sonic would NEVER come out on a Nintendo console, because it is property of Sega.

big difference is that Sega was very badly mismanaged and Nintendo's management is one of the best around (they've lost money in like two quarters in 120 years)

No, I'm not predicting Nintendo's downfall, I just am just saying it can happen. A Zelda game on another console in the next few years? Unlikely. Twenty years from now, it is possible.

yeah, it could happen since 20 years is a long time for things to happen.
i'm just saying that the other 2 console manufacturers are far more likely to make games for Nintendo in comparison when someone brings up the Sega argument since it is very common in other forums.

not a zelda moment, but i was running 16 star sm64 to show my friends, and they were so impressed at stupid stuff.

1)in the lil'penguin lost star i jump off the edge directly to the penguin and they are like "wow you just destroyed that level", im not sure why they never did that.

2)in lethal lava land i did damage boosting and it was so funny how much they freaked out over my damage boosting.

3) the real noobish moment, i did the clip on the spiral staircase (saves like 2-3 seconds max) and my friend said, "wait... did you just skip the infinite stairs?" lol

I'm not accusing you of cheating with codes or something like, but the things you do in the run are not legit, i'm talking about "Out of Bounds" and how you got almost all the songs without even talking to Shiek... Even if you proclaim that you do not cheat it is pretty obvious that you do.
And if you look at the video there are items that you did'nt even get in the run but still have in your inventory, that bit confuses me a little.
Though I'm fully aware what you doing in the run like the: Megaflip & Ultimate Sword Glitch but that can only do so much for you. And I know almost everything about an "Bottle Adventure" speedrun

I had a few dumb comments saying my NSMB run wasn't a WR because I didn't beat Bowser ASAP (they were getting mixed up with Any% and 100%).

Another thing that is stupid but I will say it anyway SDA has it's rules nad such thing though you're just submiting you run to them they just look after regular cheats you know the things they can see like: Infinite Health - Infinite Magic. There is no EQ to actully deep look into run.

Besides you could have played it on a PC with a Emulator (I don't think so, but you could have) or there is a possible that you could have used a ridiculous connection to your computer when recording therefore using a "PC Glitch" you would be surprised of what could happen.

Anyways we can go on forever with this, but I believe what I want to believe.

something that gets me is why people automatically assume that TAS means cheating when they don't know about it.

My brother is pretty much a walking noob moment and it's really frustrating.

Any time he sees me speedrunning a game, or watching a video of a speedrun or a TAS, he just bitches about how it's not legitimate and people should just learn to play the game without doing glitches.

IMO I think he's probably just jealous because he claims he knows everything about OoT, so when he sees something he didn't know about, he gets all pissy.
