i don't think that really qualifies as a "noob moment" so much as it does a brain fart

This was a question I had to answer for an online test

Ms. Silly surveyed the 38 students in her class about their families.  28 students have a brother and a sister, 15 students have a brother, and 8 students have both a brother and a sister.  How many students have only a sister?
A) 21
B) none of these
C) 5
D) 13
E) 20

The "correct" answer was 21.

how does that even work?

what's the difference here? wouldn't the group of 28 and the group of 8 be the same?

http://wii.nintendolife.com/news/2010/11/super_mario_all_stars_25th_anniversary_is_50hz_only
Unlike the Zelda Collectors Edition (60HZ only when released in EU)
The European gamers are getting the Mario 25th Anniversary collection in 50hz only.

This is fucking lazy >:(

What did you expect from them? They don't even care about it a little as long as they get thier god damn fucking money. Doing like that should make them not to earn money for every game they do it on. That would solve the whole problem.

people should make their vote count by not buying the thing and let it tank hard.

the fact that it is a rom on a disk by itself is pure lazyness. the 50hz shaft is the cherry for the europeans (man, it must suck hard to be a gamer over there)

From gamefaqs:

who said eponas song slows you down...it helps with speed around the whole world to the effect that the ten horse poes dont att epona moves 3x max speed if properly maxed out. Over all you would be wasting time to avoid eponas song. Come on now it only takes 5-10 mins to get epona and on the other hand it takes atleast twice that to avoid the foot poes as an adult. on another note you can just jump the gorge in gerudo valley instead of taking time to whip out your hook/longshot and latch on to the target epona will save you time approx 3 mins each area. Plus while on her you take no damage so you can use her to save a little hp for the ever so annoying Dark Link.

My friend Brian and I talking to our friend Jack who didn't finish his math homework, once again:

Jack: Ugh! Why does my calculator say -1 squared is -1!
Brian: Jack, you have to put the -1 in paranthesis and then square it.
Razor: Jack, why are you using a calculator to figure out what -1 squared is in the first place?
Jack:...

My most noob moment=It was a couple years ago and I was in JJB. I ran out of slingshot bullets, and I thought that you couldn't leave.

The first 2 are very dumb. DS is as strong as MS and atleast I have never seen an item that costs over 500 rupees, but maybe I've missed something. Just kidding  :P

Yeah nothing costs over 500r... and that text wasn't taken out of context either, it just says it on some page.

it means it´s easy to break

It's also worded bad, but I'm still feeling a bit stupid for not figuring that out.

Nooby comments from speed run virgins who just watched the sub 10 minute Portal Done Pro run:

More like Youtube comments done noobishly.

If that particular file was started in 2008, I don't think this should count as a speed run. It's not one continuous play, but a combination of perfected runs that you started two years ago. Respect for having a completed game save with under 10 minutes of recorded time, but this "speed run" took 2 years, not 9.5 minutes. Do this without save/loading and I'll consider it a speed run.

Quote
Although extremely impressive, your record doesn't stand because it uses glitches. Otherwise, I absolutely love your skills throughout the video. :D

Quote
"current world record for Portal completion time."

A) Hardly. you glitched. STILL A FORM OF CHEATING. you broke the engine's rules in order to speed up the process, furthermore, it is not one complete segment, you cut at the beginning of every level. the edge glitch, the bunny hop script, and the save glitch, and the portal bumping are all against the game's original nature and intent, therefore against the rules of the game. Just because it let's you do it doesnt make it right, its exploiting....
None of those matter at all.

B) None of those matter at all.

Bunny hopping isn't a script.

And what the fuck is with "against the rules"? It's a game, not a tournament, dumbass.

It's obvious you've never seen a speed run. Almost every speed run involves glitching.

A) Im sure the stupidity of your statements stand true, however, before you defend someone you obviously don't know, note that he admits to having a bunny hop script in the walkthrough videos.

with those kind of comments, you can replace the game's name with any other game and it would describe 99% of the debates with people who think using glitches is cheating in any game that pop up anywhere. it is very sad that there's people with such narrow-minded thoughts.

Ok this hapenned a couple of weeks ago but I did not tell nothing cuz I was hpefull I would recover it:
My Wii my DVD Recorder and all my games got stolen, also the DVDs with the TP speedrun, thankfully a friend has a copy of them, but I freak'nly sad, and more than wat to cry I want to shit on my pants, I will spent the money I saved to buy SS into another Wii, I wanted to buy the red edition but I decided to buy an old one to have good results with the WAD injecting

Re: Noob moments that made you want to cry

that really sucks. i would be very sad if i got all my shit stolen too.
hopefully someone finds your stuff and tells you since sometimes the thieves try to resell what they stole near the place they stole it from.

the sad part is that I think it was a "friend" of mine, cuz only he knows how to get in my room without the key, if it would be any thieve he would steal everything he knows that can sell, but no, only my gaming stuff was stolen
